my mom told me to avoid cold foods and drinks when im on it. but i read from a book that it's just a myth. but it really seem like that whenever i chomp through cold foods, my flow gets heavier. so should i avoid it? or does it hold nothing to do near it at all?Should i avoid cold foods and drinks when i'm on my menstrual term?
I own been an RN since 1969 and I own never heard of anything approaching this. By the time your food gets out of your stomach, it's adjectives the same warmth. Your digestive system is not attached to your reproductive system. Sometimes these old wive's tale can do a mind game on you, though--you know, the mind-body nouns. But believe me, there is no medical proof for your mom's belief.
When I'm on my period, I avoid rime, cold drinks, and foods that are sour.
i dont really pay mind to what i drink.
cold foods may trigger a stomach ache more little by little as like ingestion sour food but i wouldn't recommend that cold drinks would do the same within most cases.
TIPS
1)straining yourself (like working out for more than u can withstand normally) this however can cause a heavier flow than regular,
2)stress (anxiety) may cause an infrequency
3)eating irregularly (skipping breakfast and lunch afterwards later on consumption dinner) may cause or head to longer cramps and stomach pains
