My period is kinda but not really street light its medium i guess should I still put a tampon within?Tampon...?

Yes you should still use a tampon unless you would fairly use a pad but that get annoying.
You can if you feel more comfortable near one. Make sure you use the right absorbency and try not to leave it contained by too long just because your term is light. However, I would recommend that you a short time ago use a pad. If you're worried more or less comfort you can get thins or ultra thins, they're not as bulky and some of them you cant even discern.
